LA Filmmaker Mixes Immersive Technology With Film

LA-based film-maker and artist Chris Milk immerses you in his creations. His work for Arcade Fire and Danger Mouse elevated the music video into an explorable, interactive art form. His latest video, for Beck's "Sound and Vision", goes further: using Oculus Rift to drop the viewer into a live performance with spectacular 360° sound. The project, currently touring film festivals, is Milk's first in a run of Oculus Rift films. Then there's his spectacular museum installations such as 2012's Kinect-enabled Treachery of the Sanctuary. He takes WIRED through 360°.
